Scholarship hunting season is in full swing.  Students (parents are also welcome) searching for scholarships should visit the Career Center to pick up a “Weekly Scholarship Update” listing all of the scholarship applications we have on file.  It will be updated weekly during most of the school year.  You can also check out www.fafsa.ed.gov for information on Federal Student Aid.

Seniors who have a GPA of 3.0 weighed.  Three letters of recommendation must accompany the application from separate individuals, none of whom are related to the applicant.  Basis of award:  Academic performance, scholastic aptitude, community service, community involvement.  Application can be found in the scholarship file cabinet located in the Career Center.



16 or more $6,000 scholarships. Must be a resident of northern or central California; have completed or complete high school or equivalent between July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2018 and plan to attend college, university, or vocational/trade school for the first time in 2018.  Please visit www.equalityscholarship.org for details.

San Jose Earthquakes


$5,000:  Looking for candidates from all backgrounds who have overcome adversity, have a unique story, or simply have that “spark” that sets them apart.  Students can apply at https://sjearthquakes.formstack.com/forms/baasst_2018



Up to $24,000 per University:  GPA of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.  Must complete the National Co-op Scholarship Program Application including a typed one-page essay (200-words) describing why you have chosen to pursue a college cooperative education program.  For a application or to complete your application online, please visit www.waceinc.org

Sons of Italy Western Foundation


3 Scholarships awarded:  Academic Awards for high school seniors, Italian Language Study Grants in Italy for seniors for the summer of 2018, Athletic Award for seniors pursuing a career in sports or a sports related field.  Applicant MUST be wholly or partially of Italian descent and must be enrolled in an accredited Trade school, college, university or community college for the fall of 2018.  Application process may be found online at www.osiaca.org



Graduating seniors who are wholly or partially of Italian ancestry, from any accredited high school.  Applicants must reside in Solano County at the date of application.  Application and additional information can be found in the scholarship file cabinet located in the career center.

Italian Catholic Federation


Total cumulative GPA of at least 3.2.  Are Roman Catholic and of Italian Descent and live within the Roman Catholic Dioceses of California or either Roman Catholic parent, guardian or grandparent is a member of the Italian Catholic Federation, the student must be Roman Catholic but need not be of Italian Descent.  Additional information and application can be found at:  www.icf.org.

Wine Grape Growers Foundation


(2)$8,000 & (4) $2,000:  For student to be eligible and remain eligible for this scholarship, the must be enrolled in 12 or more units per semester with satisfactory grades.  Only the children with a parent or legal guardian employed by a California vineyard during the 2017/18 wine grape growing season are eligible to apply.  More information can be found at:  cawgfoundation.org

Sons & Daughters of Italy, Vallejo Lodges, Virgilio #1586 & Beatrice Portinari #1626


Seniors who are of Italian heritage, leadership and dedicated service to school & community.  Must be pursing foreign language major in Italian.  Application and more information can be found in the scholarship file cabinet located in the Career Center.

Napa-Solano Audubon Society


$2,000:  Applicant must be a graduating senior who will begin studies at a community college or a 4 year college in the field of environmental studies, conservation, or other related field.  Application and additional information can be found in the scholarship file cabinet located in the Career Center.
