Applications for Student Council 2017-2018

Vaca High Student Council has gone digital! If you are a current 9th, 10th, or 11th grader at Vaca High and would like to apply to Student Council for the 2017-2018 school year, you may begin by clicking on the link below:

After submitting an application, you must print and sign a Signature Confirmation Sheet and return it to Ms. Sullivan in Room 52. Applications and Signature Confirmation Sheets must be submitted by 3:00 PM on Friday, April 7th.

What is Student Council all about?

After attending a three-day leadership and bonding retreat each summer, student council plans and/or, promotes, implements, supplies support for and has fun with all of the following activities:  ASB Card Sales, Freshman Orientation, Picture Day, Welcome Back Dance, Senior Sunrise, Ice Cream Sundaes for the entire student body, September Blood Drive, supervision/paperwork for over 30 active clubs, Decorating (posters, balloons, run-throughs, spirit flags, etc. for each home football game), providing National Anthem singer for all events, Homecoming (creating a theme, court voting, float building, float parade, rally, queen coronation, fireworks), a school-wide club fair, Senior Panoramic Picture, November Blood Drive, Black and Blue Rally, Senior Trip to Disneyland, Winter Ball, Collection of gifts for city-wide Christmas Wish Program, Winter Spirit Week, Canned Food Drive, Decoration of gym for home volleyball and basketball games and wrestling matches, Pennies for Patients Drive for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, February Blood Drive, Breaking Down the Walls program, Mr. GQ Competition (male beauty pageant), MORP dance, ASB elections, April Blood Drive, , Staff Appreciation Luncheon, Senior Prom, Senior Sunset, Graduation… just to name a few.

VHS STUDENT COUNCIL WILL strive to ENHANCE the respectful and welcoming environment on our campus, CREATE opportunities for students to improve their school and community, PROMOTE a variety of fun, meaningful activities, and UNIFY our diverse student body
by fostering bulldog spirit and pride.
