Hey Bulldogs! Our first Blood Drive of the year is next Tuesday, October 4th! Sign up in Room 52 or the office. You must have a signed parent consent form and be 16 years old on or before October 4th to donate. Let's save some lives!

 

GIRLS GOLF SPIRIT NIGHT is MONDAY OCTOBER 3RD at Chick Fil A from 5-8pm. 20% of the proceeds goes back into the VHS GIRLS GOLF PROGRAM when you show the spirit night flyer from our social media pages. We will also have a SOME YUMMY TREATS FOR SALE TOO!

CSF Applications for Fall Semester are due TODAY to room 102 or the Counseling Office by 3:00pm.  We cannot accept late applications. ~Knabe

 

Juniors & Sophomores:  The PSAT is a practice test for the college entrance SAT test. This test is given at Vaca High only once a year. This year the test will be on Saturday, October 15th. The cost is $20. Checks made payable to VHS or cash will be accepted. Sign-up in the Counseling Office, before school, during lunch and after school. SIGN UP EARLY! –Loustaunau

 

Seniors and Juniors – The A.S.V.A.B.  (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) will be held on October 11th in the library from 8:00 – noon.  The test includes sections on mathematics, word knowledge, paragraph comprehension, mechanical comprehension, and electronics.  Sign up in the Library with Mrs. Torres.

 

The Solano County Student Poll Worker Program is looking to recruit students to work on November 8th for the Election.  Students will be paid for the training and for working the day of Election.  You must meet the following requirements in order to serve as a poll worker:  You must be 16 yrs of age on or before Election Day.  Be a U.S. citizen or will be a citizen at the time of the election for which you are serving as a member of a precinct board.  Be in good standing and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Deadline to turn in application is October 4th.  Please see Mrs. Torres in the Library for an application.

If you are interested in design or creative business majors and you would like to find out how your interest can become a successful career, come to

main quad at lunch on Thursday, September 29 to meet a college representative from FIDM, Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. FIDM has 4 California campuses and 26 Creative Design & Business majors. Find out which major of study may be right for you. Also find out about FIDM's Bachelor's and Associate's Degree programs, scholarships, internships and career resources.

 

College Visit: A representative from Santa Clara University will be giving a presentation on Thursday, September 29 during PAWS. Sign up to learn about the admission requirements, student life, and financial aid. If you have not had a chance to sign up yet, please sign up with Ms. Kooi in the College, Career, and Tutoring Center, which is attached to the Library.
